In 1979, Lewis and Esme' Coleman started screen-printing T-shirts
in their garage at Lynnwood Ridge, Pretoria. This humble beginning marked the birth of Bundu
Creations.
In 1986 Bundu became involved in the manufacture of woven clothing and a factory was set up in Durban.
For ease of operations and logistics this division was moved up to Pretoria West in 1994.

During this period Bundu operated from a house in Sunnyside as well as the Lynwood Ridge premises.
All printing was done in Lynnwood and the T-shirts were brought through to Sunnyside for curing and finally despatched to
customers.

In 1984, Bundu moved its Lynwood and Sunnyside operations to a small factory in Pretoria West.
This was Bundu's home for the next quarter century, and in this period the factory expanded by over 300%.
It started out as one mini factory unit and over the years broke through into and 'swallowed up' the next door units.
The major draw-back to this was that the factory had become a maze with a lot of wasted space. In September 2008 we said
farewell to Pretoria West and have not looked back since.
In June 2008 preparations on our new factory premises in Waltloo east of Pretoria had begun. A few internal
alterations had to be done as well as the installation of machinery as it was brought across. Being a smaller yet open-plan
premises meant that careful planning had to be made in order to fit every operation in. After four months of
operating from both premises and trying not to disrupt production we managed to 'fit in' and immediately saw the benefit
of increased productivity from the open-plan. January 2009 saw the completion of our showroom/factory outlet/reception.
